Technical Officer - Kiln Operator

Position Purpose

  • This position will be responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of products along with the smooth operation of Kiln.

Job Description

  • Ensure to run the kiln at optimum capacity, keeping in view standard operating parameters.
  • Maintain all the necessary parameters according to specifications/requirements for smooth operation.
  • Seals kiln door with bricks to prevent loss of heat, using a trowel.
  • Observes the thermometer and action of pyrometric cones through peepholes, or remove the object from the kiln and examine and examine/determine the rate of burning.
  • Closes fuel valves and firebox, open kiln-crown holes, and installs fans to cool objects.
  • Responsible for inspection of tools/machinery and its availability well in time.
  • Coordinate with area Incharge for material indenting necessary for kiln burner operation/lining.
  • Ensure complete inspection of pre-heater, kiln, cooler, hood lining, and necessary maintenance if required.

Experience and Qualification

  • DAE Chemical / Matriculate
  • Minimum 5 / 11 years of relevant experience.
