Project Coordinator

Position Purpose
This position will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating project work within technology services and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed project parameters by working alongside project managers, technical leads, technical consultants, third-party suppliers/vendors, and stakeholders from other departments.
Job Description
- Ensure new projects are set up with the correct governance and supporting documentation to enable project initiation.
- Support and assist the project manager / programme manager in the delivery of projects.
- Serve as the key liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships.
- Keep projects on track by managing tasks, timelines, and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor project milestones, report on progress, and manage resources efficiently to meet objectives.
- Generate project reports (forecast report, closure report, resource utilization report, and monthly project status reports) and other reports as required by the programme manager.
Experience and Qualification
- Masters or Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science / IT / Project Management.
- 02 to 04 years of relevant experience.
Specific Requirements
- A good understanding of ITIL and PMP/PRINCE2 processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to get buy-in and effectively co-ordinate others to complete tasks.
- Good commercial awareness (costs associated with project overruns, resource management, change control, etc.).
- Experience and familiar with
Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Planner and JIRA tools.
- Confidence to co-ordinate delivery resources and manage upwards.
- Comfortable to work from 12 p.m to 9 p.m.
