Assistant Manager / Officer Credit Control

Position Purpose
This position will be responsible for the credit control activities.
Job Description
- Provide assistance in setting up the terms and conditions of the credit policy and effective credit control system.
- Close liaison with sales department and accounts receivables department so that credit issues are resolved smoothly.
- Verification of all customer credit evaluation forms submitted by sales team before approval.
- Regularly review the Company's debt recovery procedures with accounts receivables.
- Ensure that all transactions are compliant with Company's policies through close daily/weekly analysis of reports.
- Identify weakness and delays in existing system with the objective to improve credit recovery.
- Close coordination with institutional sales team, export sales team and treasury in order to ensure sales execution and credit collection as per SOP’s and approved credit terms/contract.
- Daily monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors.
- Ensure timely recovery of outstanding invoices as per terms of approved credit/contract.
- Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the accounts receivable.
- Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management.
Experience and Qualification
- Bachelors / Masters in Finance
- 01 to 03 years of relevant experience.
Specific Requirements
- Proficient in using MS Office and SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
